BOURNEMOUTH RAIDERS 6-16 LEICESTER EAGLES

The Raiders, who were playing their first ever game of flag football, started badly against the Eagles who were 2000 National runners-up.
Leicester scored on their opening possession on a sweep through James Stratford. The 2 PAT was added by James Hassock on a pass from Chris Wild. The Raiders then went three and out, and it was the Eagles again who went down the field and scored again through QB Chris Wild. 16-0 after just 10 minutes. Bournemouth started to find their feet on defense after that, especially Marc Reeks who registered 5 sacks in the game, and went into the break with the score still at 16-0. In the second half, the Eagles drove down deep into the Raiders half, but were held short. Both teams started trading punts in the second half as neither side could get going. Late in the game, Bournemouth's QB Brad Smith started to find his range with notable passes to Danny Mobbs and Stuart Winship, before barrelling in from 16 yards out to
get Bournemouth on the scoresheet with a couple of minutes remaining. The Eagles ran out the clock to register their first win of the season.
