1986.
The Ravens won their second straight
national title by jumping out to a 20-0 lead against their great
London rivals. The Olympians made a game
of it in the second half on the back of TDs from Anderson and Andy Smythe to
pull the scores to within 8 points. On a last gasp drive, Steve Chesney failed
to break the goal-line and the Ravens were champions again. Match

The lead changed hands four times in
this BNGL Bowl game as the Cardinals edged into a 23-22 in the fourth quarter. A
late score and field goal in the last two minutes padded the scoreline in this

Bournemouth Bobcats, 21st June
1986
New Bobcats US Coach, Don Anderson,
saw narrowly fail to win his first game. The Bobcats led 7-6, but Ben Moore’s QB
sneak late in the four quarter gave the Rams a 12-7 lead. The Bobcats drove down
to the Rams endzone, but Steve Tubbs was tackled on the 1 on 4th and
goal and the Rams ran out the clock. Match

Ipswich Cardinals, 30th June
1991
The Barons trailed 16-5 with five
minutes to play, but Coach Brian Smallworth inspired them to score twice in the
dying moments – the winning score on a 53 yard TD pass from Mike Kuennan to

Pirates 12-7 Ipswich Cardinals, 18th August
2003.
Despite two missed field goals and a disallowed TD, the Cardinals held a slender
7-5 lead late in the fourth quarter, but Gary McNey’s pass to Willie Brown gave
the Pirates a lead they would not relinquish in this Div.1 Semi-Final. No match

Vikings, 6th June
1999. The
O’s won the Euro Cup on the back of 2 TD passes from Nick Hewitt to WR Clive
Palumbo. Stephen Hutchison ran for 103 yards, and Bahr Viera’s stuff on
4th and 2 preserved the win for the O’s. Match

180. PA Knights 28-14 London O’s,
26th September
2004. The
Knights clinched their first national title, and prevented the Londoners winning
a record 8th successive crown in this Don Valley Stadium showdown.
Marvin Jimmerson’s interception return gave the Knights a 14-0 lead, and Jon
Wyse’s 50 yard TD gave the Knights and unassailable lead. Match
