Evans,
Paul – Year of induction: 2005
A dominating defensive linemen for over 15 years. Started his career in
the 1980s with the Brighton B-52s, and played for them into their
incarnation of the Sussex Thunder until the 1998 season. In 1998
recorded a huge 83 tackles and led the Thunder to the National bowl
game against the London O’s for the first time.
Moved to the
O’s in 1999, and won five straight national titles. The 2003
title match Evans scored a TD on an interception return for the Os in
their win over the East Kilbride Pirates. Played and starred
for GB in their promotion from the European Championship Pool B in
2004, and retired at the end of 2005 after winning another national
title with the London O’s.
