Valentine, Leonard - – Year of induction: 2005
One of THE top players ever to have played in Britain. A top performing QB,
he played for LSU in NCAA Division One before coming to the UK in 1992 to play
for the London Olympians. He led the Olympians to three straight Britball titles
(1992-1994), and also to runners-up in 1995. Not only that he also led them to
back to back Eurobowl titles (1993 and 1994), and also to the 1995 final. Fired
35 regular season TD passes in his debut season, and a further 3 in the Britbowl
win over Leicester.
Stepped up to the plate in each final he competed in delivering in every one
of them. Two TDs and 222 yards passing in their 1993 Eurobowl win over
Amsterdam, and scoring the clinching TD from 91 yards out against Bergamo in
their 1994 Eurobowl win. In the 1993 Coke Bowl passed for 2 TDs against Glasgow,
and a further TDs in the 1994 win over Birmingham in the final.
