Team notes: Previously known as the Heathrow Jets. Played for 4
seasons in the NCMMA and NDMA from 1990 to 1993. Made playoffs in 1990, where they lost
thriller 52-48 against the Essex Buccaneers. Played foreign opposition in 1991 in a 12-7
pre-season loss to Brussels Raiders. Signed Tabor College FB Jim Cross in 1991 to team up
with the powerful Shaun Newport in the backfield and made the playoffs again. In 1992,
Newport left the team but high profiles signings such as Hazen Choates (Spartans), Junior
Cane (Capitals) and Lennie Braithwaite joined the fray. In 1993 entered the NDMA for the
first time, and were forced into the season without imports due to finances. At the
end of 1993, they merged with the Thames Valley Chargers to form the Thames Valley Aces.
