Team notes: The team began training at Irvine Magnum on the 28th of August 1995. The base of the team was formed around those who attended the Claymores' camp during the summer with players coming from as far away as Largs and Straiton. The team moved to Irvine Rugby Club's ground at the Maress Sports fields after the Magnum's shocking disorganisation and charges became too much to bear. The first ever game was a friendly played at home against the Stirling Broncos which they won 19-18 after they scored on the last play of the game and scored the two-point conversion on an audibled play. The team played in the 1996 and 1997 seasons, but withdrew from the league in 1998.
