Team notes: Had 3 nightmare years in their first 4
seasons (one win and one tie in 30 games) and one title winning season when ex-NFL
running-back Tony Dillinger took them almost single-handed to a Budweiser Division One
title and the semi-finals. Joined the BNGL in 1989, but failed to make the playoffs.
Disbanded at the end of 1992, despite signing QB Paul Ashton and WR Joe Mahmood preseason.

Team notes: In 1986, pupils from Mile End School
in Stockport set up the Stockport Stallions. Coached by 14 year old Phil Chapman, they
contested their only match against the Ashton Allycats in February 1986/ They were then
approached by the Stockport Falcons to become their junior team. The new Falcon Juniors
took part in several friendlies before contesting the 1987 JAFFA league finishing with a
4-4-0 record. In 1988, the Falcons played two touch football in the JAFL finishing with a
1-6-1 record. In 1989, the Falcons merged with the Manchester Colts to become the
Mancunian Colts and played kitted football. |
