PEEL CITY CRUSADERS

Based: QEII High School, Isle of Man (also played at King Williams College)
Colours: White and red
Honours: None

Team notes: They were a junior team from the Isle of Man. Played one season in the Irish League, where they reached the final. Also played a friendly against the Kent Rams

"As a team, went to watch the Budbowl 1987 at QPRs Loftus Road, the Kent Rams juniors were in the final as a warm up game to the main event, the Rams won and the Crusaders played them the following year. Their first ever game was away to the Lancaster and Morcombe City Bombers, played at a Heysham School, they were a rag tag team with no uniform or anything, however they completely destroyed us (about 48-0)and I remember they had a quarterback who was fast, rumoured to be a county champion in athletics. He scrammed most of the points. We had a return game in Peel and also lost that one, a bit closer though, and we scored our first ever TD!"
