1996 BSL Division Three South Western Conference 0-10-0
1995 BAFA Division Three Southern Conference 8-2-0*

Team notes: Competed for two seasons between 1995 and 1996. Entered BAFA Division Three in 1995 and reached the playoffs, ending with a 33-0 at the Southend Sabres. Had a terrible year in 1996, and finished with a 0-10-0 record. Made the first round of the play-offs in 95 but lost to Southend. Noteable players:Phil Rudder - DB - Ex-Portsmouth Warrior, carreer team leader in interceptions.  Retired in 1997 and returned in 2000 to play for Southern Sundevils. Chris Mewse - RB - Career team leader in rushing Paul Brady - WR - Career team leader in receiving and offensive MVP all through the clubs existance. Kevin Montgommery - DB - career team leader in tackling. The clubs new rival became the Winchester Rifles.  In 1995 the series was split with both teams winning at home.  Then in 1996, Winchester's Championship year the Tridents were the only team to come close to defeating the Rifles.  On their third play Joe Winning hit Paul Brady for 75 yards to open the scoring and Winchester did not claim the lead back until the end of the half.  The Tridents then took a 4th quarter drive all the way to the Winchester 12 yard line before the drive stalled on 4th down and Winchester ran out the clock. The club was linked heavily with the Portsmouth City Lord Mayor Appeal and during the 1996 season drew crowds of 500+ and had the Lord Mayor attend the opening game for the coin toss. The club failed to record a single win in 1996 and lost Phil Rudder and Chris Mewse through retirement.  Paul Brady also left to join the Winchester Rifles.  The club registered for the 1997 season but withdrew from the league due to player shortage and lack of finances.
