flag, two touch and kitted sides over the years from 1988 to 1997. Won the Division Two
bowl in 2001 with a 47-15 win over East Anglian rivals Norwich.

season. In 2003, improved again and defeated the PA Knights in
the wild-card game in the playoffs before losing to the East Kilbride Pirates 12-7 away
from home in the semi-finals. Despite losing their coach James Mitchell, after the 2003
season, they continued their good form in 2004 finishing third in the tough Southern
Conference and clinching a wild-card slot.
Youth team formed in 1990, but
they split from the Cardinals midway through the 1992 season after a series of rows
between the management teams. They became known as the Ipswich Phantoms in 1993.
