Team Notes: One of the longest active clubs in the country, having been in the leagues since 1989. Won the 1999 BSL Division One Bowl with a 7-2 victory against the Bristol Aztecs. Have made the playoffs in 6 of the last 7 seasons. Previously known as the Newcastle Senators. Ask to be realigned in Division Two in 2003 following a number of withdrawals from the squad. The redeployment worked as they went unbeaten in 2003, and reached the semi-finals of the playoffs where they fell to Northern Conference rivals, the Nottingham Caesars. Promoted to Division One A in 2004, they won their second successive title and reached the semi-finals losing to Bristol 24-14.
