In 2001 they affiliated to the league and played 6 games/scrimmages, Winning 4, losing 2 with a squad of 16. In 2003 they entered the league and played 5 won 5. They lost in the England Championship game 14-8 to the Lancashire Wolverines. They then won the first 'festival of football' by defeating Lancashire Wolverines. In 2004 they played 5, won 4 lost 1. Defeated Bristol Aztecs 26-0 in the playoffs and defeated North Lanarkshire Rams in the finals at Dewsbury Stadium on September 5th 18-14.
