Honours were even as Norwich Devils first game in BAFL 1 ended in an 18–18 tie with the visiting Oxford Saints. Although neither team will be happy with a draw, the Devils will probably be in better heart than the Saints.

The British American Football League announced that the first Player of the Week for the 2008 season is wide receiver David Pasnik of the West Coast Trojans. In the Trojans 64-6 demolition of the Staffordshire Surge Pasnik weighed in with a massive 38 points. (9 receptions for 139 yards and 5 touchdowns).
