191. Birmingham Bulls 23-2 Glasgow Lions, Summerbowl II, 1986. Lloyd Queen returned the opening kickoff 86 yards for a TD, and Richard Meanwell booted a 54 yard field goal as the Bulls won their first national title. Match report to be added shortly.


 


192. Leicester Panthers 18-32 Birmingham Bulls, 1986 Eurobowl. At a snowy Saffron Lane Stadium, the Bulls triumphed in this Eurobowl I qualifier –the first meeting between two English sides in a European competition. No match report


 


193. Dublin Celts 13-18 Manchester Heroes, 1989. The Heroes squeezed through this CGL Duke Premier Division quarter-final in Dublin with a late TD, and then held of a determined Celts charge in the final minutes. No match report.


 


194. Dusseldorf Panthers 21-14 London Olympians, 8th July 1995. Eurobowl Final. Estrus Crayton (formerly of the University of Southern California) scored 2 TDs and then intercepted Leonard Valentine’s hail mary pass in the final seconds as the Olympians were thwarted in their attempt to win a Eurobowl three peat. Richard Dunkley ran for 117 yards and was named MVP. Match report

Manchester Spartans 34-16 London Ravens, 5th August 1989. Hazen Choates bombed the Raven for 289 yards and 4TDs, and converted LB Chris Wood scored on a 90 yard rushing play as the Spartans 3rd quarter blitz sealed a semi-final spot for the Spartans. Match report


 


196. London Olympians 14-23 Southern Sundevils, 7th May 2005. Two Scott Miller TD’s built up a 20-0 advantage for the Sundevils, and they held on for a huge upset victory over the O’s. Match report


 


197. Crawley Raiders 14-12 Chiefs, 21st May 1995. Chiefs Tony Peckham scored to pull the Chiefs to within 2pts, but Shulba Hunt was stopped on the goal-line as they tried to tie the scores. The Raiders D held on for the win. Match report


198. Birmingham Bulls 9-21 Leicester Panthers, 3rd August 1992. In a huge shock, the Panthers defeated the defending champions on their home pitch thanks to 2 TD passes and one rushing TD from QB Akim Kargbo. The Panthers picked off Bulls QB Jon English 4 times as the Panthers dominated with 336 yards of offense in this NDMA Semi-Final. Match report


199. London Olympians 11-19 Leicester Panthers, 8th May 1988. In front of 4,000 fans, Panthers QB Sean Payton passed for 2 TDs as the Panthers opened up a 16-11 lead, but a clip by Leroy Innes caused a Richard Dunkley game breaking TD to be called back, and the Panthers held on for victory. 200. Portsmouth Warriors 51-36 Colchester Gladiators, 13th August 1989, CGL Crown Division Semi-Final. The Warriors edged out the Gladiators in this points fest that had over 700 offensive yards. No match report
